Sicko

We watched the movie titled "Sicko" directed by Michael Moore yesterday afternoon on DSTV. He also directed the infamous "Farenheit 9/11". Sicko was released in 2007 but we had not yet had the chance to watch it so what better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon with precarious weather than watch a documentary by an in your face get to the truth and cut the crap Director like this!

This movie in his own words is a straight-from-the-heart portrait of the crazy and sometimes cruel U.S. health care system, told from the vantage of everyday people faced with extraordinary and bizarre challenges in their quest for basic health coverage.
Sicko uses humor to tell these compelling stories, leading the audience to conclude that the super powers in the US are well.... money hungry idiots!

It was fascinating to discover that this little old impoverished third world country we call "South Africa" in fact offers marginally better health care than the USA!
It seems the better health care offerings can be found in France, Canada, Britain and unbelievably Cuba.
