Avatar - The Movie

On the lighthearted side we really enjoyed our 3D glasses!

A group of us went to watch the movie "Avatar" last night and it did not disappoint.

We watched the movie in 3D which added to the amazing animation and special effects but over and above all of that the message within the movie touched us all. I was seated between Andy and my brother and each time I turned to look at either one of them they were absolutely enchanted by the movie too.

The message in a nutshell is to humans, to be at one with earth and each other and respect all around us and even when killing for vital means such as food for survival do so humanely and thank that being. Truly see all that is around you, embrace it and if you borrow energy from earth know that you must at some point give energy back. Understand that you are not living in isolation and that your desires can not and must not be met to the detriment of all else.

This movie really struck a chord within me and I will be anxiously waiting to buy it on DVD.

We all went for a sushi dinner afterwards and as we chatted we realised that without fail each of us (seven of us in total) felt truly moved by the movie.
