Paula and I are both Risk Managers. Monique is back in Claims where she shines and Lesley-Ann is an Analyst at the tender age of 19. All such special ladies.

I met Mirna 6 years ago when we were both Analysts for the company and we became fast friends. We are both in different positions now and even different provinces but she is still a special young lady and we remain buddies.

The theme for our Year End Function was "a day at the races" which does make one think "oh no, not again!"

I must however compliment the staff who arranged the function as it was a lot of fun with many fresh ideas and the staff as a whole made a huge effort to dress up which really added to the festivities.

The decor and food were amazing and there were fun prizes and games which got everyone in the mood. Each member of staff was called up and had a few words said about them and then Ryan had prepared a song which summed up each staff member so that as we went up for our moment of glory that song was playing and we all did a little jig and accepted our certificates which were designed by Locke's wife, Sonja and she did a fabulous job!

Pikkie and her husband really went out of their way to plan and set up the event and we all appreciated the effort.

Those of us who work remotely in other Provinces stayed at the gorgeous B&B attached to the venue just 2km from Hilton College for the night and the misty weather just added to the magic feel of it all.

It was a great end to November and hopefully we are all motivated to shine for 2010!
