Mothers Day 2010

My mom glows on the outside and on the inside. She is my inspiration in life.

We had such a fun stunning day today being Mothers Day. I arrived at my mom just before midday and we swapped gifts (my mom always buys me a little something for being a mommy to so many kitty cats) and then she and I went to Broadacres Village a little early so we could spend an hour browsing in her favourite mosaic supply shop called "The Seed Pod". We then went to the Woolies in the village and bought a bag of snacky goodies for the show. The show called "Diamonds and Dust" started at 2pm and Corrie, Andy and my brother Gareth and his girlfriend Jeraldine met us there. We had some wine and drinks for the show too so it was very festive. I had originally intended to book for "Diamonds and Pearls" which is a tribute show to Neil Diamond and Celine Dion but I inadvertently booked for "Diamonds and Dust" which is actually a show of South African greatest songs dating back to the 40's and right through to current day songs. We were a little skeptical at first but by the third song we were in the swing of it having a great time, clapping, dancing and singing along and feeling terribly proudly South African. Wow this nation of ours really is quite unique no matter the troubles we may have been through and are still to go through we are well.... proud and South African which makes for a fabulous nation.

We then had a light bite at a restaurant in the same village called "Outer Limits". We had snacked so much during the show that we all settled for salads and soups although my bro had a burger :)

I then came home to find that daddy had helped our 5 fur babies to buy me one of my favourite perfumes and accompanying body lotion. What a stunning surprise!

Aaah a lovely day with that happy to the bottom of your tummy feeling.
